Hello, I made a purchase from an online retailer. They had an offer to " buy now pay later '' 90 days same as cash through XXXX who contracts with Monterey Financial Services LLC. Monthly payment plan was established. I realized they did not set up the monthly payments to payoff in 90 days. Tried to pay off online and was not able to without additional fee. Called to talked to them in person to pay off and talked to XXXX. Had to make a payment in full including penalties and interest at 99.23 %. Seems that this type of financing is misleading to the consumer. And the extra fees for setting up recurring payments and making extra payments seem unfair practice. I am wondering if there is anything to help me as a consumer to have these fees and interest returned. I called to make the final payment 10 days after the 90 day term. When I talked to them in XX/XX/XXXXI explained my situation. They told me I could make a balloon payment which is what I did on XX/XX/XXXX.
Additionally, XXXX XXXX stated in my credit reports that my account ( which I never opened ) for {$4100.00} was closed on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX called me today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and told me they needed a payment of {$4100.00} today or they were taking legal action. When I explained to the CSR that I had filed a complaint and would copy her on the complaint, she told me that she was notating in my account that I refused to provide her with information.

XXXX illegally added a second untrue, derogatory entry to my report stating that I have an additional collection account with a past due amount of {$4200.00}. XXXX further stated that I was placed in collections on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX due to non payment.
Both of the entries XXXX made on my credit report are inaccurate and fraudulent. I have tried to fix this issue with XXXX over the phone, in writing and most recently through XXXX, with no resolution.
As a result of XXXX fraudulent entries on my credit report, I was denied a job working at XXXX Technology that required XXXX XXXX XXXX. I will be able to obtain an Affidavit from the hiring XXXX, where she specifically called out XXXX ' derogatory entries.

We were scammed by a timeshare in XXXX. Most of what we were told during the presentation has proven to be false. The timeshare has been paid off and we have tried unsuccessfully for years to cancel our membership with XXXX and they refuse to cancel. We have also tried to sell or transfer membership to escape escalating yearly fees without success. We stopped paying the yearly maintenance fees in hopes that XXXX would cancel or terminate our membership but instead turned us over to Monterey Collections. Research showed some timeshares allow to " surrender '' membership but XXXX said they would not send a " surrender packet '' or discuss anything about the account until the past due amount and penalties of {$2200.00} was paid. It is also highly likely " Surrender '' is another Scam. XXXX used lies, deceit and unlimited alcohol to entice victims into a contract that they can not escape from. We have attempted to negotiate, they refuse.

The first time I contacted Monterey Financial Services LLC was when a collection/derogatory mark was placed on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX and they are reporting it as an account that was opened XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to them that I am a victim of fraud and that this is exactly the way my identity is being used, online and with addresses and emails that I am not associated with. They said they would not assist me, that I must " deal with '' the 3 credit bureaus. I requested a copy of my file and they sent me a copy of the application and an electronic signature dated XX/XX/XXXX.

In 2014 my doctor requested that I receive a screening from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) The marketing material provided there would be no cost to me as the patient if my insurance company did not pay the bill. Subsequently, XXXX was found in violation of the Fair Claims Act by attempting to defraud insurance companies and Medicare, and by providing kick-backs to prescribing doctors.They were forced to pay millions in fines and were forced into bankruptcy.
A week ago I was contacted by XXXX XXXX, a representative of Monterey Financial Services, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX demanding repayment of charges amounting to {$3700.00}. I have disputed the claim, but fear the company will continue to harass me concerning this. In addition, they are certainly going after many others. I believe this is a clear violation of several laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Act, and would appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide.

The SSA 89 is to prevent the misuse of anyone 's social security numbers and is only good for one use and expires after 90 days from date signed and pulling without one on file constitutes as identify theft.
