Complaint What Happened On or about XX/XX/21 I started an application process with XXXX XXXX NMLS No. XXXX, Loan No. : XXXX. Each and every one of the requests received thru Octane were adhered to by me in a timely fashion. I advanced {$650.00} for an appraisal on my home in XXXX. I also paid for a pest inspection report and 3 different well water tests out of pocket. The appraisal was not performed until late XXXX. Now they are requesting a 4th well water test ; and, because the XXXX won't accept a pest inspection after 3 months, I have to pay again for all these reports. After 3 months their lock extension fees for the loan have gone up to {$3300.00}. The loan was at 2.25 % and now the interest rates have gone up so much that they exceed what my current XXXX loan is at. Furthermore, they can not seem to be able to secure the correct COE from the XXXX and want to charge me over {$10000.00} for XXXX funding which I will not owe to the XXXX. I am the surviving spouse of a 100 % XXXX XXXX XXXX veteran. Now, they refuse to return my calls or answer any of my communications to them trying to straighten out this mess and close the loan.

Complaint What Happened Cardinal financial contacted me XX/XX/XXXX concerning a refinance request that I submitted on XXXX XXXX. I had spoke to XXXX XXXX a few days prior, and had been advised to wait until XXXX, XXXX to apply for the loan because my credit score needed some work. XXXX XXXX from Cardinal stated that Cardinal was able to conduct manual underwriting and my credit score should not be a problem. First she attempted to try for a VA loan, but it was denied. She then recommended trying the FHA loan, and then resubmitting for a VA loan after a few months, which would have been late XXXX, XXXX. After asking numerous times if there would be any problems doing a VA loan after just a few months, she assured my wife and I that it would not be a problem. With our current VA loan at the time was at XXXX XXXX and the FHA loan was XXXX XXXX with monthly mortgage insurance, we would not have wanted to stay in this loan for the 210 day loan seasoning if we had know that we would have to wait the 210 days before applying for the VA loan. After talking with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX she informed me that she had just recently found out that there was a 210 day seasoning period for loans. I called the Department of Veteran Affairs on XX/XX/XXXX and was told this has been in effect since the beginning of XXXX. Since that time I have requested to speak with Katrinas supervisor and have called Cardinals Customer Advocacy department on the XXXX of XXXX, the XXXX of XXXX, and XXXX of XXXX to discuss this issue and have not had any returned correspondence. After researching this issue, I believe Cardinal has used predatory loan procedures and loan churning practices during my refinance process. I would not have conducted business with the them if they had been forthright with the current laws concerning the seasoning of loan guidelines.

Complaint What Happened This is in regards to a mortgage serviced by Cardinal Financial Corporation, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my loan was paid in full. An escrow refund of {$2600.00} was due to be paid to me at this time. On XX/XX/XXXX, Cardinal Financial sent a check to the property address, where I no longer reside. USPS failed to forward the check, despite having a change of address filed with USPS. I called Cardinal Financial on XX/XX/XXXX and waited on hold for over an hour before the call was dropped by Cardinal 's phone system. I called back and spoke with a representative on XX/XX/XXXX, who told me I had to wait 30 days after the original check was issued to request a new check be sent out. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called back and spoke with a representative and requested that a new check be sent out to my current mailing address. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a request through Cardinal 's secure messaging service on their website asking for the escrow refund to be sent again. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I have not received an escrow refund check.
