I recently received a copy of my credit report online and found that you are illegally reporting The inaccurate and malicious information about me on my credit report.
The following accounts, Name, Addresses and phone numbers!
Not only is the information incorrect you also aided this creditor who has violated my right to privacy in accordance with " The Fair Credit Reporting Aet ''.
This Creditor has violated my rights under 15 USC 1681 section 602 states I have a right to privacy.
( 15 USC 1681. ( section 604A section 2 ) it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions.
As well as 15 U.S. Code 1681a paragraph 2 sub paragraph a subsection i states transactions are not included in the consumer report!

As a Platinum Card holder, I was denied access to several AMEX and its partner lounges at the XXXX and XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/year> and XX/XX/year> despite meeting all the eligibility criteria outlined in the cardholder benefits. I presented my valid card and travel documentation, but access was refused. The reason provided by the lounge staff and American Express customer service was, capacity issues and lounge partner policies.
I raised this issue with American Express, and they conducted a very long yet unfruitful investigation. Their explanationblaming partner policies and capacity constraintsdid not address my concerns and failed to meet card member benefits adequately. I feel this response contradicts the advertised benefits of the card and the assurance provided to cardholders regarding lounge access and benefits. It also invalidates the over {$600.00} cardholder fees that promises these benefits.
This incident caused significant inconvenience during my travel and diminished the value of a benefit that was a key reason for choosing this card. American Express has failed to honor their advertised benefits and has not provided a meaningful resolution.
Desired Outcome : 1. Remediation for the inconvenience caused, such as compensation and/or a membership fee adjustment.
2. Assurance that American Express will take steps to ensure lounge access benefits are upheld in the future.
I am seeking the CFPBs assistance in resolving this issue, as the companys failure to honor its commitments and its lack of accountability and unprofessionalism are unacceptable.

American Express has retaliated against for filing a dispute against them for disputing the two charg es for XXXX XXXX . They have been harassing me. They did n't notify me of any results of the outcome of the disputes. They have been asking me to submit all of my personal and business related financial statements to include Bank statements to which I used to make payments with on the accounts. I told them I had would have trouble getting them the information due to the fact that the bank accounts I used have other signors on them. I called XXXX merican Express and cancelled the XXXX XXXX XXXX ending in XXXX # XXXX XXXX {$2000.00}, and the personal XXXX XXXX ending in XXXX XXXX . Under the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I am protected against " undelivered goods ''. The XXXX disputes I have with American Express XXXX XXXX {$2000.00}, and XXXX XXXX {$2000.00} that I am being billed for that I never received the services/goods from the merchant. I provided them with numerous evidence that I did n't receive the goods and services from the merchant. I have tried to state this t o American Express n umerous times. They have proceeded to harass me and put me under a financial audit demanding all of my financial records which contain confidential information. I never received the goods/services from Madwire Media relating to the disputes with American Express XXXX XXXX {$2000.00}, XXXX {$2000.00}. I showed American Express evidence and proof of this. They have done little to investigate thes e allegations or provide me with any documentation or results. They have escalated the situation by asking for a financial audit. And have used improper language against me over the phone and have used discriminatory XXXX terms against me on numerous different phone calls with them attempting to resolve this. I am requesting that American Express stop their demanding XXXX XXXX against me and stop demanding bank statements and financial records. Was given offer for platinum Card with offer of XXXX points after {$8000.00} spend. Was never notified at time of application or otherwise I was not eligible. Spent over {$10000.00} but did not get bonus points. Called in and was told because I had an Amex XXXX XXXX card 5 years ago and my wife had an Amex delta card about that time that were closed, it makes me ineligible for bonus. hey refuse to let me speak with anyone higher up and state they are the final word which I know not to be true. Further their own literature states this only applies to cards of same type. I currently hold a platinum card which is basis of dispute. Prior cards over 5 years ago were lower tier branded amex cards- mine a XXXX XXXX amex and my wife a Delta gold amex.
I would like for them to honor my meeting requirements for spend for the XXXX points.

In XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email invitation to apply for an AmEx Skymiles Gold Card with a bonus of XXXX Delta Skymiles after spending {$1000.00} in the 1st 3 months. The day I received my new Gold Card on XX/XX/XXXX, I received in the mail another offer for XXXX Skymiles from AmEx. I immediately called AmEx and asked if I could be eligible for the XXXX mile bonus instead of the XXXX mile bonus. According to the customer service representatives, they were going to open a case to investigate.
I followed up with a live chat with AmEx on XX/XX/XXXX during which I was told the case was still open and they were trying to get me the XXXX mile bonus.
I had my second live chat with AmEx on XX/XX/XXXX and was told by the representative that a detailed note was placed in my account and to check back in a few days.
My last live chat with AmEx was on XX/XX/XXXX when I was told the two offers that were addressed and sent to me were not available to me because I had previously had an AmEx card. My previous card was cancelled in XXXX. When I asked why offers were sent to me that I could not get, I was told the offers are sent by the marketing department and have nothing to do with new or existing accounts. I immediately cancelled my card and requested to be removed from all future advertising and marketing, mail, email, or phone calls.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a marketing mailer from AmEx, even after being assured that I would be removed from their marketing lists.
Although I did finally find the small ( minuscule ) print indicating previous card holders could not receive the bonus in the offers I received, I still find it incredibly deceptive that 2 different offers for bonuses, personally addressed to me, were knowingly sent with the intent that I could not receive the " bonus '' that was being advertised. I also believe that AmEx wanted to keep stringing me along with the " open case '' story long enough to get me to pay the {$95.00} annual fee.

I bought four {$50.00} prepaid AmEx gift cards on XXXX XXXX, 2023 from XXXX. I tried using all four cards online and also in person at NUMEROUS places and they will not work ANYWHERE. After calling customer service 18x, a guy told me that he would cancel the four cards and send me four new {$50.00} AmEx prepaid gift cards. After waiting over a week, ONE new {$50.00} AmEx gift card was mailed to me. Not four cards. ONLY ONE. And it will still NOT work ANYWHERE. I have called customer service 27 more times trying to find out where my other three {$50.00} giftcards went and nobody can help me. They all say that they were refunded. No they were NOT refunded!!! And the one {$50.00} giftcard they did send me will still NOT work ANYWHERE!!!! I got online to see if anybody else has had this problem and there are HUNDREDS of people online complaining of the same exact issue. Multiple people were ripped off gift cards when they were supposed to get new ones in the mail and when they only received one, it would still not work anywhere!!!! How is this legal??? My money has now been tied up for almost two months. Customer service is a total joke. Some person from overseas who can barely speak English just repeats the same thing over & over then puts you on hold but nobody ever picks back up. How come there isn't a class action lawsuit against this company yet??? This is unbelievable!!! Every time you try using the card at a new merchant, they deduct XXXXXXXX XXXX from your card. But then your card is declined after they take the XXXXXXXX XXXX.

On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from a friend with a recommendation to apply for the Delta Gold credit card with American Express. Using the link, I applied for the card and received my first membership email from American Express on XX/XX/XXXX. The special rewards offer at the time was that I could receive XXXX XXXX points if I used the card for {$3000.00} worth of purchases within the first three months of applying. I completed that requirement by XXXX, but by XXXX I still hadn't received those points.
When I contacted customer service the first time ( in XXXX ), the representative told me that the points should be applied within 4-6 weeks, and gave me a bonus of XXXX points for the inconvenience. Six weeks passed and I still hadn't received my XXXX points. I called again, and was told by another representative to call back a week later. I did so, and was again told to just keep checking back. That was about a month ago, so tonight I tried calling one more time and was put on hold for about 8 minutes before the call was dropped, either because the phone had been on hold for too long, the representative was just hoping I'd hang up, or there was a bad connection somehow. Regardless, I am so tired of making phone calls about an issue that should have been resolved almost six months ago. If I fulfilled all of their requirements, then there shouldn't be any problems with American Express upholding their end of the agreement.

On XX/XX/22, I had a {$100.00} charge " XXXX XXXX, '' which paid for my Global Entry fee renewal. XXXX of the benefits of the American Express Platinum card is a refund for paying the Global Entry fee. Per AMEX 's Terms & Conditions, the charge would be credited within XXXX weeks of posting. Here is the language, directly from AMEX : If you do not see a credit for a qualifying purchase on your eligible XXXX after XXXX weeks, simply call the number on the back of your XXXX. XXXX XXXX are responsible for payment of all application charges until the statement credit posts to the XXXX account.
Unfortunately, over XXXX weeks have passed ( actually XXXX weeks ) and I have yet to receive my credit, even after contacting AMEX XXXX regarding the issue.
All I am asking for is the credit on my account ASAP, which is what AMEX promised to do in their own Terms & Conditions.

In XXXX, I entered a debit reduction agreement to pay off credit card charges and also requested an account closure of an American Express account. Part of the agreement with XXXX XXXX , XXXX was to close accounts and destroy the card, which was completed. XXXX, XXXX a written request was mailed to American Express to also send a return written notice confirming the closure of this account. The account has been successfully paid in full. Instead, a mailing stating a " statement balance will change with recent activity on your account '' was mailed with their notice to call. The card was destroyed and no intent to use on my behalf. American Express notes cancelling the account -yet will not send notice of CLOSURE. My request is simple. A closure notice, no further activity and yet American Express would prefer to upsell their product/credit card. Help?! Thanks so much!

My credit card through American Express is currently set up for automatic monthly payments. The payment is set to be my full statement balance on the due date every month ( the XXXX ). There have been no issues for five months, until this month 's payment.
This month 's automatic payment was paid exactly one day late. No settings were changed, and the bank account connected to the account has well over fifteen times the amount of the bill. Seeing as the payments historically transacted on time every month, and the next automatic payment is set to be paid on time, without any change of settings, I 'm inclined to believe that American Express deliberately postponed my automatic payment in order to collect their {$27.00} late fee. Especially because they make little revenue from customers like me that pay everything in full on time, thus avoiding credit card interest.
I have done absolutely nothing to warrant my automatic payment to be LATE, and yet I 'm charged a late fee and both myself and my wife ( authorized user ) will suffer from the negative impact this will leave on our credit scores, forever affecting our credit health.

I suspect Amex is selling my private information. They allow charges from an unknown merchant that pretends to be XXXX and although I dispute these charges, they post them back on the card and continue to allow the merchant charges go through although its not a merchant I do business with or have ever allowed these charges. Along with this, I get several texts and calls a day from scam merchants like the XXXX Amex is working with, Ive heard terrible things from this bank before but the fact that they wont let me dispute a charge thats clearly fraud leads me to believe they are working together. I literally just wanted to despite this charge Ive never had this merchant, they pretend to be XXXX but all my XXXX payments go through a different card and Ive not authorized this card to be used. They said theyd also waive the membership over the phone and when I tried communicating about it they said thats not true and that was one lie I was told but dont care about due to them not letting me dispute.

A week and a half ago we went on vacation. We decided to use our American Express Card because we hadnt used it for awhile and didnt want them to close our account. We have been with them for 40 years. When we left for vacation on XX/XX/XXXX our available line of credit was {$6000.00}. After using our card just a few times ( see attached ), we noticed a massive drop in our credit limit. It decreased from {$6000.00} to {$1400.00}. At this time we had only a little over {$900.00} on the card ( at least this is when we noticed it ). We only had a credit available of $ XXXX. I phoned them and asked them why they did this. They said after a review they determined basically we had credit issues. First, my credit score is over 700. See attached credit score on American Express Website. I have never been late on any payments with them. I have never been late with any other creditors. I believe they are discriminating against me because of my age. At the time of the call the man I was speaking to said he would increase my available credit up to {$1500.00}. When I checked the app it said I had a credit available of {$1500.00}. It did not say it was temporary. After I used my card I now noticed its showing an over the limit amount of {$1000.00} due now. If I do not pay this now it will be reported to credit reporting agency which will hurt my credit score and my reputation with my other credit card companies. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I had to do a balance transfer to get out of this negative. This cost me {$60.00}. Why would anyone give a person a temporary increase? If I knew it was temporary I wouldnt of used the card. I want my original credit limit reinstated. I have never received any documentation from American Express notifying me of any changes. I believe this is age discrimination. Thank you

I filed a dispute in XX/XX/XXXX with American Express in the amount of {$16000.00} dtd XX/XX/XXXX. The charge was from the company, XXXX XXXX. The reason for my filing was this company had their business operations shut down by the FTC for making false claims and misleading consumers. I considered this as a scam and breach of contract. I gave American Express all of the supporting documents regarding the case and let them know that the business operations had been shut down and they denied my dispute twice because they could not contact the merchant ( of course they couldn't the FTC shut them down! ). That is the only reason I was given. Out of 7 different credit card disputes I filed for the same merchant and reason, American Express is the only one that denied my dispute. All the other companies ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX ) I'm not sure if this is considered a complaint you would investigate or if I have any other recourse. Please advise. Thank you.
