The middle of XX/XX/2022 I contacted a company to start a home business of my own and talked to XXXX. In trying to get me funding against my wishes she contacted Upgrade, Inc, after putting me on hold. When she brought me back on the line she told me they had funded me for the {$11000.00}. I believe that was my first knowledge of the amount. It all happened so fast that I do not remember talking with the company representative or finding out what the payments were going to be or anything else. Later I would find out from reviews the company was not a reputable company and I closed my account with them. I think the computer signature to sign for my computer classes was used to sign the contract for the loan. So, now I'm in debt with Upgrade, Inc not getting what I had paid for and the company the money went to would only return {$2000.00}. Now I apparently need to pay back the rest but I did not get anything in return. Also, unbeknownst to me my payments to Upgrade are over {$400.00} a month. They did agree to 3-month lower payments for hardship reasons but now my payments are over {$500.00}. All I have is my Social Security and am unable to pay for something I did not agree to and did not get anything for. Unfortunately, when XXXX found I was closing my account they went into my email account with them and wiped out everything that had their information on it. I could come up with a way to recover this information if needed I believe. Otherwise, I have nothing left.

XX/XX/XXXX Upgrade used automatic withdraw to take out my monthly payment and interest. I waited until the next day once i saw what the remaining balance was and payed it off. Now i have a {$28.00} balance for interest. I had just gone through this with XXXX ; XXXX so i made sure the monthly payment was accepted, then selected Payoff Balance.

I called and paid off my account with one of Upgrade 's representatives on XX/XX/2021. ( Customers are not allowed to pay off accounts using their online portal. ) I paid off exactly what the representative told me was the balance, {$1400.00} from my XXXX XXXX account. The payment cleared my bank account on XX/XX/2021. Almost immediately there was a charge on my account for {$9.00}. I called to dispute that and got put on hold XXXX, so I wrote an email. I received a response from Upgrade saying Id hear from someone within 24 hours. Its two weeks later and no one has responded to my email yet. Ive called several times and the hold time was never less than 30 minutes. I called on Sunday XX/XX/2021 and eventually got ahold of a representative who acknowledged my payment and that someone on his end had applied my payment incorrectly, resulting in the {$9.00} charge against my account. He submitted a work order to fix this and said I should see it repaired on Monday or Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX, 2021. It wasn't taken care of. But now I am showing a deposit of {$9.00} in my bank account. I called again yesterday, XX/XX/2021 and spoke to a less than intelligent representative who told me that I had overpaid my account and I had a credit balance. I told her credit balances do not result in a bill being issued for the same amount of money, and why would I have a credit balance when I paid off exactly what I was told to pay??? I repeated THREE times that I paid off this account and I do not owe this money, and that if I had a credit balance, it wouldn't be billed to me again! I asked what happened to the work order that was generated on Sunday?!? She went and placed me on hold ( AGAIN ) for several minutes and came back to tell me now that I had taken a charge for {$9.00} and I owed the money. NO, I didn't, I don't have a card for them and there was no transaction for {$9.00}. She just didnt understand what I was saying and asked to speak with a supervisor. She put me on hold ( AGAIN ) and after a few minutes repeated everything I typed earlier in this complaint. I said I wanted to speak with a SUPERVISOR, not her, and she put me on hold ( AGAIN! ) and left me for several minutes and came back to say her supervisor would call me back within the hour. Guess what? No one called me yesterday at all, nor today, XX/XX/2021. Im still waiting. And then to top it off, I just received an email saying Upgrade is drafting my bank account {$500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX AFTER I had paid it off. Ive had it with this incompetent company. Since no one has either called me back, written a response, or cleared my account from this {$9.00} balance, Im filing this complaint and will stop all payment draft requests from Upgrade.

I took out a personal loan on XX/XX/XXXX with UPGRADE to pay off other debts. I have yet to receive a statement for this loan. I contacted UPGARDE on XX/XX/XXXX, to inquire as to why I have not received a statement and I was advised " our personal loans do not generate statement due to the fixed amount of the monthly payments. '' This is a line of credit ; therefore, a statement must be generated for the consumer ( me ).

Upgrade credit card company inaccurately reported to credit bureaus that I was 30 days late on a card payment ending in # XXXX, when I was not 30 days late, which Upgrade verified when I called them after seeing the XXXX point decrease in my credit score with XXXX on XX/XX/year>, and XXXXpoint decrease in XXXX credit score on XX/XX/year>. This is the second time this has happened with Upgrade, and then taking forever to have them remove from my credit. The decrease in credit score and time of mine to have to deal with, report, make multiple calls, and endure such a decrease in credit and all the repercussions. Upgrade should not be allowed to keep doing this, FOR FREE, no payback or compensation, or anything affecting them from continuing to do this that affects other people extremely when its an absolute lie that I was 30 days late on a payment not once but twice. This is not OK to take my time that I dont get paid for and take my credit score that now Im not allowed to use for essentials that might be needed. Im submitting screenshot images to verify what Im saying. Also, Upgrade did verify I was not late on any payments 30 days and they also said they didnt report it to credit and told me I had to call XXXX XXXX and XXXX because it was on them after talking with them they absolutely say its not and that Upgrade did report it which I do believe because as I said, this is the second time theyve done this and should not get away with it anymore. My credit score should be risen even more.
