LESSONS ARE RELATED TO CURRENT MUSEUM EXHIBITIONS AND PROVIDE HANDS-ON EXPLORATION OF ART PROCESSES, ART HISTORY, AND ART APPRECIATION AS WELL AS TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION. THE PROGRAM WILL DELIVER AN ADDITIONAL 90 ART LESSONS FOR K-6 STUDENTS IN RURAL SCHOOLS THAT HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO RESOURCES IN THE ARTS. THE ARTWORKS PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES FOLLOW-UP GUIDED TOURS OF THE MUSEUM, FREE QUARTERLY FAMILY DAYS WITH HANDS-ON ART MAKING LESSONS FOR THE PUBLIC, AND SUMMER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS TO HELP THEM INTEGRATE ART INTO THE CURRICULUM.
