Complaint What Happened |
Some of CFPB 's automated fields do not accurately reflect my complaint.
This phone call took place on XX/XX/scrub>XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
And I do not expect to collection agency to respond either appropriately or seriously to this complaint. An unethical debt collector ... who could imagine?! But I write this for the benefit of others who may have the unfortunate experience of dealing with them and to have a written record of my own experience with this company. And to make them aware that they sit well outside CFPB compliance -- which, of course, they already know.
While contacting the debt collection company, I attempted to make notes about everything said on the call so that I could accurately reference the call should I need to in the future.
When I asked for a supervisor, the collection agent LIED and said that they had no supervisor. The original lender later confirmed to me that this was a lie and there was, in fact, a supervisor who was on the floor for escalations. I even confirmed this by looking at the collector 's website.
When I asked for a reference number on the call, they refused to give me one.
When I asked for the employee 's number so I could again reference the conversation at a later date, the employee hesitated then made up a random number. When I asked them to confirm that this was in fact their employee number they admitted that they had lied and made it up.
Multiple lies and diversionary tactics accumulated in one call. And the collection agency expects you to believe anything they say...
I attempted to contact and deal with this collector in sincerity and good-faith and was met with XXXX. For those reading this public complaint, remember the wise words of a certain XXXX philosopher, " Stay safe ... and trust no one. ''

I have disputed the information on my credit report for date opened and they will not change it. The date that they have listed is the day they bought the past due balance from XXXX XXXX XXXX. By law the date opened is the date global opened the account. If the date was made correct it would be past time to be off all my credit reports. Also i would like them to provide me with a copy of the contract of original loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX.
